'Expendables 4' Movie Release Date And Casting News: Sylvester Stallone To Drop Barney Ross Role For New Creed Film, According To Rumors

'Expendables 4' Movie Release Date And Casting News:  Rumors are buzzing that Sylvester Stallone will not be part of the fourth installment of The Expendables.

Sylvester Stallone, who plays Barney Ross, will reportedly focus on the sequel of "Creed." Stallone recently scored several awards and nominations for his latest film "Creed."

According to rumors, wrestling star Hulk Hogan will replace Sylvester Stallone as Barney Ross in the upcoming sequel to the action hero franchise. Barney Ross, the leader of the Expendable group of mercenaries was played by Stallone in the previous three installments.

Terry Crews is one of the main characters that has been in all The Expendables movies. Terry Crews, who played the role of Hale Caesar in "The Expendables" told Slash Films that Stallone might be too busy making the upcoming "Creed 2."

"He might. He might, but whatever Sly says I'm doing. He's like my dad," Crews told Slash Films.

"He's literally my dad in the business. If Sly's like, 'I'm out of this thing,' I don't see myself doing it."

"Expendables 4" cast rumors also include Manny Pacquiao, Mel Gibson, Antonio Banderas, Harrison Ford, Randy Couture, Dolph Lundgren, Wesley Snipes, Ronda Rousey, Terry Crews, Jet Li, and Kellan Lutz.

"I'm just thinking he's got options now," former football player Terry Crews recently observed.

"He should think about what his next move is going to be, what he's going to do. 'Creed' was amazing, amazing. It showed his [Stallone] depth and he's a lot deeper than people always give him credit for."

'Expendables 4' could earn the title of the most expensive movie in the series. Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, Pierce Brosnan, Hulk Hogan and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson are already officially cast for "The Expendables 4." Steve Austin is also rumored to be joining the cast.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson reportedly said that if he is picked up for "Expendables 4," he wants to be the villain.

"I don't want to be on their team and be buddies with them. F**k that noise," The Rock said. "I want to hunt every single one of them down and tell them to "send your soul to heaven cause your ass is mine."

The future of The Expendables franchise isn't guaranteed because the Sylvester Stallone's aging-action-hero franchise hasn't been making as much money domestically as the older films. Expendables 3 only made $39.3 million domestically.
