New 4Minute Music Video Hits 1 Million Views Less Than 24 Hours After Release

It looks like 4Minute fans love to "Hate" right now with the group's most recent comeback making serious waves on YouTube.

The music video for "Hate" reached 1 million views on YouTube less than 24 hours after its release.

Originally uploaded on Jan. 31, 2016, the music video surpassed 1 million views in less than a day and is currently at more than 2 million.

The track was co-produced by American DJ Skrillex and is a heavy EDM song contained on 4Minute's 7th EP, Act.7.  "Hate" carries hints of hip-hop with lyrics portraying pure hatred towards the thought of breaking up.

Complimenting the ongoing lyrics of "I hate you, I don't need you," the music video follows a goth-like theme with a color scheme of black, gray, white and red. As the monochromatic colors represent the dark intentions of hate, red may symbolize blood or the devil's color.

With 4Minute just coming back into the scene after a year-long hiatus, the future of the group hangs in the balance.

During a comeback showcase for Act.7, the 4Minute members discussed their upcoming contract expirations with CUBE Entertainment.

"I believe that this album will be a big influential factor of a contract renewal," Jihyun said. "Wouldn't we be more for it if this album does well? We stated this a lot with the people at the company, too."
