Fans may soon see former "Vampire Diaries" star Nina Dobrev in "The Originals."

CDL reported that the actress could be considering a role in the "TVD" spin-off series "The Originals." Apparently, Nina Dobrev's career was not as successful as she had envisioned it when she left the series last year.

The publication noted that Nina Dobrev's appearance in "The Originals" would definitely boost viewership for the series. However, it could also take away her fans from "The Vampire Diaries."

Nina Dobrev may come in as a doppelganger in the relatively new spin-off series. CDL suggested that she could take on the role of Tatia Petrova.

It was reported that "The Originals" has been renewed for another season. This means that season 4 of the series will air some time between this year and the next.

"The Vampire Diaries" season 4 has also been confirmed by The CW. DC's "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2, "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" season 2, "The Flash" season 3, "Arrow" season 5, "Supernatural" season 12, "iZombie" season 3, "Jane the Virgin" season 3, "The 100" season 4 and "Reign" season 4 have been confirmed for 2016-2017.

"The CW has become home to some of the most critically-acclaimed shows on broadcast television, with a wide array of fantastic scripted series across the week, ranging from musical comedy, to superhero action, to gritty sci-fi dramas," CW boss Mark Pedowitz said.

"As we continue to further our strategy of more year-round original programming, picking up these 11 series for the 2016-2017 season puts us in a great position of having proven, high-quality shows to launch in the fall as well as midseason and summer of 2017."

According to Morning News USA, "The Vampire Diaries" may still benefit if Nina Dobrev appears in "The Originals" since it is scheduled before the series. Those who watch the spin-off series may also take the time to watch "TVD" afterwards.

Although Nina Dobrev did say that she left "The Vampire Diaries" to try her luck with movies, there were speculations that her departure was really to get away from Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed.
