Right around the corner is 300 million YouTube hits for Psy's viral music video of "Gentleman." As of May 7, it has recorded 291 million views, just a little shy of the next big moment.

The music video, which hit 100 million views in just four days and 200 million in a total of nine days, is looking to set a new record by breaking 300 million in 24 days.

Psy took his excitement to Twitter when the music video exceeded 290 million views. He tweeted, "290 million! Here we go Psy's 'Gentleman.'"

His previous mega-hit "Gangnam Style" reached 300 million views in 76 days.

Currently, Psy is actively making TV appearances in the United States. His latest appearance was at ABC's talk show, 'Live! With Kelly and Michael,' and NBC's 'Today Show.'
