Lee Hi Ranks Number 1 on Taiwan Music Charts, 'Global Popularity'

Singer Lee Hi's first album, First Love, ranked number 1 on the Taiwan music charts.

On Taiwan's biggest music site, KKBOX, she ranked number 1 on their K-Pop chart for the daily and weeky chart.

On the daily charts, her song "Rose" ranked number 1, "1,2,3,4" at number 3, "Turn it Up" at number 8 and "Special" at number 10. In conclusion, 4 of her songs were in the top 10 with a total of 9 songs in her album, making almost half of her first album ranking in the top 10.

She released her songs "1,2,3,4" and "Rose" in Taiwan on April 19 and released her album on May 3. She has never physically been to Taiwan yet.

Lee Hi was first recognized on an audition program called "K-Pop Star" and won runner-up. She was known for her husky and mature voice which was rare for a 16 year old at the time.

She later went to sign with YG Entertainment and debuted last fall. She first featured for Epik High's song "It's Cold" and received much attention as well.

She debuted with "1,2,3,4" and made an all-kill on charts and programs. She was known as the 'monster rookie' as she continued to rank high on all charts as well as international charts.

After a few months she released another album and became a hit again. She received many fans due to her rare husky voice that captures many people's hearts. 

She also gained attention for her quick weight loss and overall appearance. After her debut, many were surprised by her slimmer body figure and overflowing beauty.

Recently, she released her first official album, First Love, and received a positive response globally. She is currently done with her album activities and is preparing for her next project.
