"Final Fantasy XV" Release Date For PS4 Confirmed! Here's Everything You Need To Know From Hajime Tabata!

Square Enix made a huge splash this week as not only did they shed light on "Final Fantasy XV" release date, but they also revealed that there will be plenty of tie-ins with the series.

Game director Hajime Tabata stated that this is perhaps, the best "Final Fantasy" experience every gamer will have at this point as they put their heart and soul to finish this one. Moreover, they want gamers to feel the same way they did when they played the first few installments.

"It's actually quite simple," he said via The Verge. "What we really wanted to do with XV is return to the roots of the series and to put everything we've got into creating what we think is the best ultimate Final Fantasy game we can. And return to that position of being a challenger to the title, and approach it from that perspective. We've got to win it."

Square Enix revealed the first episode of the game's anime adaptation called "Brotherhood." It featured Noctis' adventure with his three companions and how he was almost killed by a six-armed monster but was saved by his father in the last minute.

Also, there will be a full-length film entitled "Kingslaive," which will highlight the major events before the big war happened.

Meanwhile, Tabata was asked if they will port the game to PC. The director said that they thought about it but felt the right decision would be to concentrate on the console version.

"Unfortunately we weren't able to do simultaneous development on a PC and console version for XV," he said via Engadget. "We had to focus on the console version and our goal was to maximize, optimize everything for the HD consoles. Once that's done, then we will definitely take a good, hard look at PC and what we need to do, and consider all our options. But right now we aren't decided, we're still considering a lot of things."
