‘Alien: Covenant’ Rumors: Michael Fassbender’s David To Become Sequel’s Main Villain?

Michael Fassbender's David has been the subject of most speculations and rumors about the much-anticipated "Prometheus" sequel from Ridley Scott, "Alien: Covenant;" first, it was rumored that there will be multiple Davids in the sequel, another one said that David will murder Elizabeth Shaw following reports that Noomi Rapace will not anymore be reprising her role and now a new report claims that David will become the sequel's main antagonist.

"What if Michael Fassbender's David is the chief antagonist in 'Alien: Covenant?" speculated Gavin, Jamie and Peter in their podcast (via Scified), "Perfect Organism Podcast."

"The idea I mentioned was that in the crew of the Covenant will likely have a David synthetic of their own," the report said. "What if, after landing on whatever planet the movie is going to be set the Covenant David happens across David from the Prometheus, is destroyed by said David, allowing Prometheus David to infiltrate the crew of the Covenant?"

The speculation further said that, maybe, the Prometheus David will use the traces of the Black Goo or something new to infect the crew, leading to the birth of a one or more new types of Xenomorph. Furthermore, David will be forced to kill anyone from the Covenant crew who will get suspicious about his real identity.

Meanwhile, Stuff.co.nz reported that Ridley Scott and the crew has officially landed on the set in Milford Sound, New Zealand. According to the report, weeks before the set was spotted, a number of rental vans and trucks were already seen in Te Anau. To be exact, 13 trucks had been rented intended for wardrobe, make-up, camera storage and offices. Also, helicopters were seen bringing in equipment for the construction of the set.

Details, however, to how many people are involved and how long the filming will take are still not known.
