Internet users chose SHINee's Taemin as the idol who seemed to be the 'best son' idol.

The online community forum 'DC Inside' held the survey "Which idol would make the best son/daughter to his/her parents?" from April 30 to May 7. In this survey, Taemin was chosen as rank 1.

Taemin, who gained total of 141,257 votes out of 379,633 (37.2%), had debuted at the young age of 8th grade and had revealed that he had bought a house in Cheongdamdong and a car to his parents.

Girls' Generation's Taeyeon was rank 2 with 118,158 votes (31.1%). Taeyeon had also revealed that she had bought her parents a house with 3 bathrooms.

Third in line was singer IU with 61,146 votes (16.1%). IU, who shared the financial hardships she lived in before debut, had bought her dad his dream car.
