The fans are happy to know that the cast of ''Captain Marvel,'' the much-awaited project from the Marvel Cinematic House is taking shape. Benedict Cumberbatch might appear as Doctor Strange in this upcoming movie which will be released on Mar. 8, 2019.

Lawyer Herald confirmed the news of the cast of the upcoming female led superhero movie. ''Benedict Cumberbatch's Dr. Strange will make an appearance in the movie. Dr. Strange will star alongside Paul Rudd's Ant-Man and Chadwick Boseman's Black Panther'' is what they mentioned. This news was confirmed by Inquisitr too.

Meg LeFauve and Nicole Perlman are writing the screenplay for this movie. "I think two ways. One is Nicole and I have each other, so we can help check each other of 'Let's just not get into that moment of paranoia that's swirling'' LeFauve said. There is a huge responsibility on these writers as the character of Carol Danvers will be ''the first Marvel heroine to get her solo film'' mentioned the article.

"Let's go back to the story, back to the story.' I think any bit of writing that you do when you get lost in the fear, my guiding light is to always go back to the character, kind of fight for the character, and who she is, and what story she wants to tell, and she'll be a specific character,"  LeFauve added further.

Australianetwork news talked about the five reasons why Doctor Strange's role should be played by Benedict Cumberbatch. The globaldispatch talked about the casting becoming ''more interesting'' after Cumberbatch joined the cast. Ooyuz talked about the cast coming to a completion after these names were released. So will he don the same kind of costume in ''Captain Marvel'' too?

Way back in Dec. 2014, Reuters had done a story on the cast of ''Doctor Strange.'' ''He has solved cases as Sherlock Holmes, been exiled as Julian Assange and saved Britain from the Nazis as Alan Turing, but British actor Benedict Cumberbatch is not done playing the hero as Marvel announced Thursday he will star as Doctor Strange'' is what they stated.

The search for the main protagonist's role is still on. Rebecca Ferguson, Bryce Dallas-Howard, Emily Blunt, Natalie Dormer, Katheryn Winnick, Charlize Theron, Katee Sackhoff, Maika Monroe and few other names are being considered for this role. As per the last unofficial fans' poll, Winnick is emerging as the winner due to her popularity as Lagertha in the TV series ''Vikings.''

''Captain Marvel'' will be released on Mar 8, 2019 and the grapevine is speculating that the fans might get to see Captain Marvel's character in the upcoming movie ''Avengers: Infinity War'' which is scheduled to be released in 2018.
