IU Promises To Give Fans Detailed Update on Her Birthday, May 16

After months of silence, IU finally updated her fan cafe with a new post thanking her fans for the early birthday gifts.

IU has always been known for her regular communication with the public via her online fan cafe, 'From. IU', but for the past five months the singer has been strangely silent.

On Monday she finally sent word to her fans in a brief message thanking everyone for the early birthday presents she received and hinting that more information will be revealed on her birthday later this month.

The fan cafe post came while on the set of You're the Best Lee Soon Shin, the popular drama IU stars in. The singers fans sent a galbitang (Korean meat stew) food truck to the filming location for the cast and staff in honor of IU's upcoming twentieth birthday.

"As I filmed the 19th and 20th episodes yesterday and today thinking about how we already made it halfway through, and feeling somewhat exhausted, you surprised me with gifts and I was really touched," she posted on May 7 along with several pictures of herself on set.

"I was unable to update you on 'From. IU' for a very long time. I was going to write a post around my birthday, but I was surprised with early birthday presents from fans, so I am quickly writing a post to thank you," expressed the young singer-actress.

The post was not very in-depth and as it served mostly as a thank you to fans, but IU hinted that she will release more information later this month on her birthday. "Although I have a lot of things to say, please wait a little longer until the 16th," the fan cafe post continued.

Now fans are very curious what sort of details IU will include in her next post.

The idol singer gave some hints as to what she has been up to lately and a bit of an inside glimpse into the life of a TV drama actress and continued, "There were a lot of sad scenes yesterday and today, so I as a bit tired. But with strength from the galbitang, I am even fighting through the filming of the night scene. I have to go film another crying scene now. I was really going to write a short post, but why do I keep wanting to write more?"

The polite and endearing post ended with IU's promise to update her fans on her birthday with a more lengthy fan cafe. "I will come back here on the 16th so just get a taste of what it'll be like as of now! Ah! I feel very strengthened!"

IU fans were excited to hear from her after such a long while and left many comments like "It's nice to hear from you" or encouraging words like "Fighting!" and most seem excited to hear what news and updates will be revealed on her twentieth birthday later this month.
