Robert Downey Jr. is open to reprising his role as billionaire superhero Tony Stark in "Iron Man 4." The news comes after confirmation that he will be in 2017's "Spider-Man" reboot.

GameSpot reported that the fourth "Iron Man" standalone movie has not been officially confirmed yet. Robert Downey Jr. made the announcement in a "Nightline" video feature for the "Captain America: Civil War" movie.

"I feel like I could do one more," the actor said. In 2014, Downey Jr. has debunked rumors about an "Iron Man 4" movie.

In an interview with Variety two years ago, the "Iron Man" star revealed that there are no plans to make the fourth standalone film. "There isn't one in the pipe," he told the publication.

GameSpot added that the success of the previous installments in the box office would definitely help "Iron Man 4," calling it a "business opportunity. Robert Downey Jr. will reprise his role in "Avengers: Infinity War" as well as the "Spider-Man" reboot slated for 2017.

"Downey is a real master," "Captain America" actor Chris Evans described his co-star. "It may not necessarily be classified as improvisation, but he certainly rewrites on the fly."

"His re-writes are not self-serving; they're scene-serving. He really knows how to make things better. That's why the 'Iron Man' movies are so good."

The "Captain America: Civil War" movie has already been shown in theaters globally. Its U.S. release date is on May 6.

In another report by Variety, it was revealed that Robert Downey Jr. will make an appearance as Tony Stark in Sony's "Spider-Man" reboot, entitled "Homecoming." The scope of his role is not yet defined as of this writing.

Jon Watts has been enlisted as the movie's director. The script is written by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein.

The "Spider-Man" reboot will focus on Peter Parker's days as a high school student. It is slated for a Jul. 7, 2017 release date.
