The latest news on former "The Vampire Diaries" actress Nina Dobrev reported that she may be dating her "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage" co-star Ruby Rose. The two celebrities join Vin Diesel, Samuel L. Jackson and Deepika Padukone in the film.

CDL reported that Nina Dobrev and Ruby Rose have been spending a lot of time on the set of their upcoming movie, "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage." This led to speculations that the young stars' relationships have gone deeper than friendship.

The publication noted that the former "The Vampire Diaries" actress has enjoyed pranking the "Orange is the New Black" star and vice versa. Apparently, there is a lot of "mutual admiration" going on with the celebrities.

"This is what Satan looks like," Dobrev posted on her Instagram account, along with a picture of Rose. "Tempting me with key lime pie when I'm trying to be healthy."

"I found the Easter bunny," Rose wrote as she shared a photo of herself and Nina. "Better looking than Santa Claus."

CDL added that Nina Dobrev and Ruby Rose are both single. The former "TVD" actress has recently split with Austin Stowell while Rose broke up with fiancée Phoebe Dahl last December.

"Ruby is a force to be reckoned with, and I'm beyond lucky to have her as a co-star and be able to call her a good friend," Nina Dobrev told the New York Post about Rose. "She's hard-working, focused, funny, professional, fiercely determined and a lot of fun to be around."

In YHM's report earlier this year, "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage" will return its focus on Cage. However, it will also pair him up with a core team of "sexy badasses and comic comic relief players" similar to the "Fast and Furious" franchise.

"Dobrev will play a witty and sarcastic techie, while [Deepika] Padukone will play a huntress who happens to be Cage's former lover," The Hollywood Reporter wrote. "Rose will play a sniper. Jackson will return as the head of the National Security Agency."
