With A Growing Number Of Petitioners Could Square Enix Finally Release 'Final Fantasy XV' On PC?

"Final Fantasy XV" release date is reportedly coming next year.

And while fans are highly anticipating for the hit RPG to arrive in the new generation gaming consoles, many are also hoping for Square Enix to finally bring it back to PC.

In fact, there are already over 15,000 petitioners at Change.Org who are asking the giant gaming studio to bring "Final Fantasy XV" on PC.

And while Square Enix has yet to announce any formal statement about the said petition launched by fans, director Hajime Tabata has gamely shared his knowledge about the game in an interview with GameSpot.

"At the very least, I can tell you that it isn't going to be released this year," "Final Fantasy XV" director said of the game's release date. "I think we'll be able to tell you when we're making the announcement around PAX Prime, at the end of this month."

While he did not mention anything about the possibility of a PC release date, he did confirm that the game is arriving next year.

"We can certainly say to people: it's not going to be 2017. It's going to be before that," Tabata teased.

According to IB Times, Square Enix may have actually been releasing hints of a PC release already.

"A teaser demo of 'Final Fantasy XV' has been shown off, hinting that a PC version is in the works," the publication claimed.

Adding that, "'Witch - Chapter 0,' was played to show off the capabilities of Windows 10 and in particular DirectX 12, which Microsoft said is capable of compiling six times more polygons than DirectX 11."

Whiel waiting for an official release date, Tabata talked about the game's progress and details on Noctis Lucis Caelum's new outfit, Game Rant reported.

"Noctis is a member of the royal family and the other three characters are parts of various Lucian national organisations and they are each wearing the specific battle dress relevant to their individual stations," Tabata said in a Silicon Era forum. "In the Kingdom of Lucis where our heroes reside, the color black has historically been treated as a special color."

"Because of this, the attire of the royal family and those in occupations closely tied to them are unified by having black as a base coloring. This part of the lore is the reason why the outfits of all four main characters are black. For the finished game we also intend on having their clothing having effects in battle and not just being a part of the world and its background. So watch out for that too!"

With no concrete information yet, there is still chance that Square Enix will give in to fans' request and finally release "Final Fantasy XV" on PC.
