The beauty and singing talent of Katy Perry has made her very popular in the music arena in the last few years. The fans have been waiting for the release of her fifth studio album which she had teased sometime back.

Even though she had mentioned that she is in the research and development phase pertaining to her album, the fans have become restless now. ''We know she's been in the studio with British DJ Duke Dumont, as they worked together on festive thumper 'Every Day Is A Holiday' for Katy's H&M Christmas campaign last year. There's no reason why they couldn't have used some of the time to work on even more dance-tinted pop gems too. 'Walking On Air' 2.0, please!'' Digital spy has echoed the sentiments of the fans very well.

The speculations are on pertaining to the other artists she will be collaborating with. Max Martin had helped her to write the lyrics of the successful songs like ''Teenage Dream'', ''Roar'' and ''Dark Horse.'' Will she collaborate with him again for this fifth studio album too? Only time will tell.

She had collaborated with Dr. Luke too in the past for song writing, it is doubtful that she will use his services again. Since Dr. Luke is fighting a lawsuit filed by Keisha where she had slapped other charges along with sexual abuse related ones.

Perry has registered three songs till now named ''In Flames,'' ''She's So Creepy'' (believed to be written targeting Taylor Swift and the feud they had) and ''Heartache Crusader'' respectively. "The only thing that is on my mind when creating music is being authentic and vulnerable and making sure that it connects.

And I know that it does connect because numbers don't lie," Katy said earlier this year. New York Times had done an article on Katy Perry's upcoming album. When the interviewer asked the question to Perry ''And where will you be watching the Grammys?'' her reply was very interesting. ''In my pajamas, eating matzo ball soup. No makeup, glad I'm not in a corset. Vicks cream on'' was the response Perry gave. It became a talk of the town when Perry didn't attend this year's Grammy as it didn't happen in the last seven years.

Perry has been keeping it low these days and many have even linked it to the alleged infidelity of her boyfriend Orlando Bloom. In the beginning of the year it was reported that the duo is going strong, and Bloom was spotted supporting Perry in many concerts including the fund-raiser concert for presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. However, if the grapevines have to be believed, Bloom was caught with singer Selena Gomez recently in a night club and both were too cosy for comfort.
