5 Reasons Why You Should Go To KCON NYC

KCON NY kicks off on Friday, Jun. 24, 2016 at Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.  Besides the biggest K-Pop concert to touch the east coast since last Summer's, there are five other things fans should know about the All Things Hallyu event that can be convenient to your liking!

1.       PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION IS EVERYWHERE!

Prudential Center is in the hub of downtown Newark. A bus station is located right in front of the arena OR you can even walk a few blocks to Penn Station where it'll take you anywhere in the tri-state! And don't worry about being late. Uber and Lyft will exist everywhere!

2.       FOOD!

Korean food tutorials will be in action but if you're looking for some food real quick, there's a Chipotle around the corner as well as a Dinosaur BBQ and a McDonald's at Penn Station. For dessert, Luigi's Ice Cream truck that serves ice cream inside a hot crispy glazed doughnut is said to be selling their delicacies at KCON as well!

3.       PANELS!

So many new topics are going to be discussed in KCON this year. Knowing that the New York stop is just in its second year, not many are familiar with the place so you can go check out East Coast K-Spots on Sunday, or even learn how to save (and earn) some cash for future K-Pop events at Hallyu Fan on a Budget on Saturday! (Hint: We'll be at those panels!) There's also on the rise YouTuber Sarang who will be doing make up and beauty booths!

4.       FREEBIES!

Many fans are busy looking for artist engagement passes and such, but many do not know that visiting the booths at KCON will leave you with A LOT of free stuff. Swag bags of beauty product samplers, portable chargers, snacks, and more! It's an endless convention of freebies!

5.       UNITING WITH FANS AROUND THE WORLD FOR THE CONCERT!

Nothing's better than coming together to celebrate K-Pop. They say music unites all. And I believe that's what KCON is doing with their concert! So hold up light sticks, do your fan chants, sing your heart out as the two-night celebration goes on for K-Pop!
