BIGBANG’s T.O.P To Curate Art Collection In Sotheby’s Charity Auction

On October 3, BIGBANG's T.O.P will curate an extensive art collection during Sotheby's charity auction in Hong Kong. #TTTOP will feature works from rising Asian artists and famous Western artists. The collection, which is said to be worth US$11.5 million, will be put on the auction block for the event.

Among the attending artists are Andy Warhol, Rudolf Stingel, Sigmar Polke, Gokita Tomoo, Saito Makoto, Takashi Murakami and Nawa Kohei.

T.O.P shared his thoughts about the preparation process, and how genuinely grateful he is to be a part of the charity auction. He had been in touch with Sotheby's for more than a year, and added that he has meticulously chosen each piece for the collection. It reflects his personal preferences as a young collector that "best suits his taste" and "place importance on the freshness of ideas and size of beauty behind them."

The proceeds of the event will go to the Asian Cultural Council, a non-profit organization that advances international respect and understanding between people and cultures through transformative cultural exchange.

This will be the first collaboration between an Asian Superstar and Sotheby's. Visit Sotheby's official website to learn more about the event.
