MBC had recently just released another series of still shots from their upcoming drama Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo this time showcasing model/actor Nam Joo Hyuk riding a bicycle.

According to Allkpop, the still cuts were from a scene that was filmed during September which also happened to be lead actor Nam Joo Hyuk's first scene ever filmed for the upcoming series.

In the released images you would see Nam Joo Hyuk riding a bike outside wearing simplistic yet sporty attire. In these images, he had truly embodied the look of the show with one staff even remarking as to how it felt like Nam Joo Hyuk's character came alive and out of the script. This only goes to show that the young actor had fit his character really well.

MBC had earlier released still cuts of Lee Sung Kyung, the series' protagonist and lead actress. Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo will center on Lee Sung Kyung as the titular character, a young weightlifting athlete whose life revolved around sports.

The young actress had to gain weight and learn a lot about weightlifting in order to prepare for her role. Weightlifting is definitely not the kind of sport most people get into but what makes it even more remarkable is the fact that Lee Sung Kyung only debuted two years ago and this will in fact be her very first titular character role.

Nam Joo Hyuk, on the other hand, plays the role of a prodigy swimmer who has been plagued by trauma. His path will converge with Lee Sung Kyung's and they both find love in the midst of overcoming challenges and the pursuit of their dreams.

In order to fully get into the role, Nam Joo Hyuk did not only have to practice swimming, he also had committed to learning and understanding the mind of an athlete who is suffering from trauma. The cast had just recently had their first ever script reading. Hopefully, the sports drama win the hearts of the viewers when it airs this coming November.

Coming at an opportune time, the 22-year old 6'2" actor had also been recently chosen by the international sports brand, Le Coq Sportif, as their new face and model, as reported by Top Star News.
