Award winning writer Kim Eun-Hee reveals her new project. However, she hasn't thought of making the sequel of her monumental drama "Signal" which won many awards.

Kim was invited to speak at the 5th World Women's Economic Forum (WWEF) in Seoul on Oct. 19 as reported by Insight when she revealed her new project.

"The script writing is currentlyon progress," she said as translated into English. She also admitted that she hasn't thought to write the sequel of her monumental drama "Signal" who gave her two awards - The Best Screenplay Award at the 52nd Baeksang Award and Best Writer in the 5th APAN Star Awards.

Renown for her specialty in suspense and thriller drama, Kim is very delicate and meticulous to craft plot in her drama. "Signal" depicted a time warp drama between a police detective in the current year with a detective in the past through an old walkie talkie. They communicate and solve many cases which are based on the real cases in Korea, such as the rape and murder case of 10 victims which occurred in 1986 to 1991 in Gyeonggi-do.

"Signal" which was aired in tvN has become a rare case of very high rating for the cable channel program. It averaged 12.8 percent in TnMS and 12.6 percent in Nielsen Korea.

Due to the limited coverage, cable channel has a relatively lower viewership rating than public broadcasting TV. In equivalent, a viewership rating in cable channel TV is consired to be four times smaller. Therefore, a more than 10 percent rating for a cable channel TV is considered to be phenomenal.

According to EDAILY star IN, Kim's new project is revealed to be a political drama and she may work together with her husband, actor and director Jang Hang-Jun. They once worked together in the SBS drama "Sign" aired in January to March 2011. Kim wrote the screenplay, while Jang directed the drama. The 20-episode drama averaged 18.7 percent of viewership rating on TnMS.
