Kim Soo Hyun's bowling skills earn praise

Kim Soo Hyun has been known to be a really great actor appearing in both film and television but what a lot of people probably didn't expect is that the actor would have the chops for bowling. In fact, it's not just chops that he possesses because apparently, he's pretty good at it as well. But it appears that his interest in bowling goes way beyond a hobby because the actor is indeed taking it to the next level.

In a report made by the Korea Times, a "Korea Professional Bowling Association" representative had revealed that Kim Soo Hyun had in fact applied for the 22nd professional bowling tryouts. His talent agency, Keyeast, also confirmed his application for the tryouts. During the first round of the 2016 Pro-Bowler Selection, Kim Soo Hyun had scored 8 strikes in a row during the 10th game and in the 11th game he had scored 9 consecutive strikes.  In the first round he scored an average of 221 points totaling 3315 in 15 games while during the second round, he managed to get an average of 214.6 points with a total of 6439 points in 30 games. Not bad for a debut.

Kim Soo Hyun had caught the eye of Oh Il Soo, the president of the Pro-Bowling Committee, not because of his status as a renowned actor but mostly because of his skill as a bowler. "I have watched several pro-bowler selections and Kim Soo Hyun definitely stands out" Oh Il Soo says, as reported by Allkpop. He also remarked on Kim Soo Hyun's potential.

It is said that Kim Soo Hyun, who is mostly known for his famous portrayals in "Moon Embracing the Sun," "My Love from the Star," and "The Producers," has gotten into bowling sometime in 2013 and has been practicing 4-5 hours during his free time. There will be another set of matches on October 29 and 30, while the list of finalists will be announced sometime in November.
