The six-member Korean boy band VIXX is scheduled to release their third new album titled “Kratos” on Oct. 30. The group has released a set of videos featuring the songs in the new album.

VIXX showed a new sound in their third album. The video higlights all songs which have chic and sensual R&B sound in their upcoming album, including the single “The Closer,” as reported by ET News. Each song is played around fifteen seconds in the one and half minute video.

The group was formed through an MNET survival reality show “MyDOL” in April 2012. The show cast 10 young singers, all of who must showcase each of their talent. Their fate depended upon the viewers vote who would determine whether they would stay or eliminated. After three episodes, four people were eliminated, and the remaining ones are teamed to become the new boy group under Jellyfish Entertainment Agency.

The name VIXX was also selected by the audience of the “MyDOL.” VIXX is an acronym of “Voice, Visual, Value in Excelsis.” Since their first debut, VIXX always release the album and performance with a story to tell.

Their first album “Voodoo,” released in 2013 told horror stories which trouble them many, because the original music video was rated R for violence. Their second album “Chained Up” was released November last year.

For their third album, VIXX decided to tell the tale about Greek mythology. Kratos is one of the four trusted soldiers of Greek god Zeus that represent strength, might, sovereignty of the Zeus.

Based on that concept of mythology, VIXX launched a project named “VIXX Conception 2016” as reported by Korea Daily. The project is a trilogy concept film about Greek mythology.

The first one “Zelos” concept film was launched March this year, followed by “Hades” in August. Watch the concept film of “Hades” below:
