CL Says She Is Sorry For Using The 'MTBD' With Quran Version

2NE1's leader, CL, has issued an apology for using the unedited version of her song "MTBD" with a boy whispering Quran verses in it. The controversial incident took place during her recent November 4 Los Angeles tour stop.

According to SBS, CL has been doing concerts in North America for her "Hello Bi+ches" tour and according to her, her sound engineer for the tour was not aware of the situation and has wrongly sent the old version of the song. For her performance, she used the original version of the song. She said that she was sorry for the entire people who were offended by the accident. She explained that she did not realize the situation sooner so she is taking full responsibility for what happened.

She has told the sound engineer to completely get rid of the original version and just use the edited and new version of "MTBD" for her tours and forever. It was indeed replaced as on her Dallas stop, the new and edited version of "MTBD" was played and not the original one.

Seoulbeats has reported that he issue came to CL's eyes because of the fans protests and anger. After her performance of "MTBD" was uploaded on YouTube, many fans heard that it was indeed the original version of the song. There were many Muslim fans who were offended and they even took it to CL's twitter and instagram accounts as they use the hash tag "cl_stop_using_our_quran". After those, CL has posted on her Twitter account an apology letter.

"MTBD" has faced the same controversies when it was first released. After receiving endless backlash from fans all over the world, YG entertainment and CL has decided to release the edited version of "MTBD" without all the whispers of the boy.

CL has still some stops for her North America "Hello Bi+ches" tour. Fans are hoping CL and YGE has learned their lesson after the second time around.
