TWICE's 'Like Ooh-Aah' MV becomes first K-Pop debut song to reach over 100 million views on YouTube

After breaking several k-pop YouTube records held by BTS in the last month, TWICE is at it again after their debut song "Like Ooh-Ahh" becomes the only debut song to reach over 100 million views.

In a report made by Soompi, TWICE's song Like Ooh-Ahh impressively achieved a new milestone as it passes over the 100 million mark on YouTube.  The report says that the music video surpassed 100 million hits on YouTube on November 11 and after news of this feat broke out, that number significantly grew to an outstanding 120 million views!

Allkpop reports that the music video had been released in October last year and has steadily racked up the views. The group made the announcement via their official Twitter account through an image of their achievement caption "Once, we did it!" The music video for their other song, "Cheer," is also on the verge of reaching 100 million views. Now this is quite an impressive feat seeing as the group had only debuted late last year.

What's even more impressive is that the music video for their recently released single "TT" has already reached a whopping 46 million views in less than a month. In fact, that same song topped several charts in South Korea making the JYP girl group a definite force to reckon with. TWICE has proven itself as one of the most promising K-Pop acts and in this 2016, they have become one of the most impactful K-Pop acts, having spurred countless of viral trends and even influencing international relations.

In fact, this seems to be the year for rookie groups and women as both TWICE and YG Entertainment's BLACKPINK, another rookie girl group, has made numerous headlines and topped numerous charts, even setting intense competition between the two.

TWICE is a 9-member girl group formed in a survival competition show "Sixteen," which aired on Mnet and produced by JYP Entertainment. They debuted back in October 2015 but have since conquered the K-Pop music industry.
