“Legend of the Blue Sea” is one of the most anticipated drama this year. Starring two well-known and respectable actor and actress, the drama is slated to air this week on SBS.

Prior to its premiere, SBS officially introduce the drama to the public on Nov. 14 as reported by Seoul Daily News. The cast members Jun Ji-Hyun and Lee Min-Ho made their official appearance at the Imperial Palace Hotel in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam Seoul.

“Legend of the Blue Sea” is a fantasy drama about a mermaid, Sim-Chung played by Jun who was captured by the fisherman during Joseon era. She was the latest mermaid on earth. During her captivity, she encountered a nobleman Dam-Ryung.

Hundreds of years later, in the present time, she met the man who resembles Dam-Ryung. The man, Heo Joon-Jae is a renown con-artist and a high class swindler. Nevertheless, Joon-Jae help her to adjust the life in the land.

There are so many unpredictable incident according to ET News, as the mermaid need to adjust her lifestyle to live among humans with the help of Joon-Jae. While the con-man also has two two other partners, Nam-Doo and Tae-Oh, played by Lee Hee-Joon and Shin Won-Ho. Nam-Doo is a decoy man to lure the victim, while Tae-Oh is the key master that can unlock any key easily.

SBS has released a number of spoilers and teaser trailers to the public that indicate the storyline is a romantic comedy drama. Some interesting footages including Sim-Chung who growl at the fish in the tank, and she eats spaghetti with a bare hand.

The shooting of the drama took place in many locations in South Korea and in ancient city of Girona in Catalonia, Spain. During the shooting in Spain, the drama draw attention of the local newspaper that made the shooting as their headline.

“Legend of the Blue Sea” will take over the prime time at 10:00 p.m. KST (GMT+7) of the Wednesday and Thursday night drama. The time slot was previously occupied by “Jealousy Incarnate.”
