TWICE and BLACKPINK are definitely two of the biggest girl groups right now and because of their extreme popularity and super rookie status, the two have been compared and often pitted against each other. While common perception between the two may often be hostile, their recent appearance on Inkigayo would prove otherwise. In fact, their interaction on the show would even show how good friends they are.

On November 6, 2016, both BLACKPINK and TWICE appeared on Inkigayo. At the end of the show, TWICE was awarded with first place and once they were announced as the episode's winners, you can immediately see how happy BLACKPINK was for their fellow girl group. There doesn't seem to be any bad blood between the two groups as afterwards, you'd be able to see their members hugging each other. BLACKPINK even jumped together with TWICE in glee at the end of the show.

It is revealed that TWICE's Nayeon and BLACKPINK's Jenny and Jisoo have known each other since their trainee days and even after each of their girl group's debuts, they still kept in touch with each other despite their hectic schedules, as reported by Koreaboo.

But this wasn't the only time the two groups had interacted. In fact, during most, if not all, of their interactions, the two groups always seemed so friendly and warm with one another. In fact, there is even a video posted on Twitter showing Nayeon, Jihyo and Dahyun of TWICE singing along to BLACKPINK's latest single "Playing with Fire" on their V app.

Both groups also won big at the recently concluded Melon Music Awards. According to iTech Post, TWICE took home "Song of the Year" for their hit single "Cheer Up" while BLACKPINK won "Best New Artist."

TWICE and BLACKPINK are only new to the industry but still, they have quickly dominated the k-pop scene. In fact, the two are now being considered as the next Girls' Generation and 2ne1. So it doesn't come as a surprise that people would want to pit them against each other.

However, innocent interactions like this would make you realize how irrelevant fan wars are.
