Park Shin Hye Extends Helping Hand to Help Keep Families Warm this Winter Season; Actress Also Helps Seonum Market Fire Victims

Park Shin Hye is definitely no stranger to generosity. In fact, when it comes to giving, what most people probably don't know is that the 26-year old actress is actually a generous giver and just recently, she had once again proven how big her heart is after making a huge donation to the Babsang Community Welfare Foundation.

According to Allkpop, Park Shin Hye had donated an outstanding amount of 50 million KRW (45,000 USD) which is enough to get 83,340 coal briquettes which in turn will be used to provide warmth to 556 different families this cold winter season. Each family would be given 150 coal briquettes which is basically enough to stay warm for a whole month. Isn't that such an amazing news to hear?

Not only that, just two days before Park Shin Hye was also reported to have extended her help towards the victims of the Seomun Market Fire by donating again, 50 million KRW as  confirmed by the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association. The devastating fire occurred on the Seomun Market, the largest traditional street market on Daegu, from November 30 to December 2 and had affected about 800 stalls. Luckily though, while there may be victims, there were no major injuries reported.

Yibada reports that Park gave her donation in secret which even her talent agency didn't know. According to her talent agency, they were only made aware of the donation several days after it was made.

While most people are unaware of Park Shin Hye philanthropic activities, this doesn't change the fact that the actress has helped several charities in the past and just recently, she was inducted as a member of the Philanthropy Club of Korea Food for the Hungry International after donating about 100 million KRW to their cause.

"Running Man'' Yoo Jae Suk had also made donations to the same charities and it is quite astonishing to see big celebrities giving back to the community especially in times of great crisis. Both Park and Yoo made their donations discreetly and were only made known by the charity organizations themselves.
