Newest SBS drama "Defendant" just kicked off last Monday replacing "Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim". As the lead actress in the drama, Girls' Generation's Kwon Yuri shared her thoughts on her role as a lawyer.

Fans of the idol turned actress know that Yuri has appeared in several movies and dramas beforehand and her acting skills aren't questionable. However, in an article by Koreaboo, Yuri shared that she still feels nervous especially now that she garnered one of the heaviest roles in "Defendant". Unlike her former roles which are closer to herself, she'll be playing as a lawyer Seo Eun Hye this time around.

Yuri also shared that her co-star "Kill Me, Heal Me" actor Ji Sung truly helped her in preparing for her role. She imparted that her sun always makes time to assist her in her acting. The actor also gave her advice which really improved her acting starting from their first filming for the drama up until the present.

As if his advice aren't enough, Ji Sung also invited Yuri over his house where his wife, Lee Bo Young, also assisted Yuri on her role as a lawyer. It can be recalled that Lee Bo Young also played the role of a lawyer in the hit drama "I Hear Your Voice", and her experience from her role also helped Yuri a lot.

Moreover, according to Soompi, Yuri's role was initially offered to Han Ye Seul but the latter declined. Despite this fact, Ji Sung believes that Yuri fits the role of Seo Eun Hye basing from the past dramas of Yuri that he was able to watch.

"Defendant" revolves around Park Jung Woo (played by Ji Sung) who is a prosecutor that ended up in prison after having a temporary amnesia. In his quest to know the reason behind him ending up behind the bars, he meets several people including public defender Seo Eun Hye who have temper issues.
