Kpop girl group Wonder Girls has formally disbanded, the management JYP Entertainment reported in a press conference. The group's present line-up includes Yubin, Yeeun, Sunmi and Hyerim. Their last single "Thank You For Being So Wonderful" will be launch on February 10, 2017. "After a period of talk, we have settled on the disbandment of Wonder Girls.

Out of the members, Yubin and Lim have restored or renewed their agreements with JYP Entertainment. They plan to indicate new sides of them in different fields including music, acting, and MC-ing. Yenny and Sunmi will, sadly, be leaving the name, as they wished to walk new paths. To give back the love to the fans who's been close by with their faithfulness for as far back as 10 years, they plan to release one final digital single on their tenth commemoration on February 10," the management said as cited by AllKPop.  

The agency also expressed gratitude toward fans worldwide who've been supporting Wonder Girls' all through their 10-year travel. "We will keep on supporting the chosen new path of the remaining and separating members," it cited. As indicated by Soompi, the members of the girl group left goodbye messages for fans in a video.

Yeeun: "It's as of now been a long time since we've been as one. Every single minute that we laughed, cried and were glad and unhappy together passed by like a kaleidoscope. Sunmi: "A lot of things occurred amid these 10 years. To all the fans that bolstered us, confided in us, and sat tight for us... my heart hurts, giving you tragic news. I'm sad, and bless your heart."

Yubin: "Too Wonderful, with your endless support and trust, Wonder Girls was so loved for a long time. Continuously, with much trust, I will treasure those moments of our time together." Hyerim: "When time comes that you begin to miss us, I hope that our songs, loaded with recollections, will be of solace to you. All: "Thank you, thank you and thank you once more. We were so glad. Those days were like fantasy. Don't forget us... We are Wonder Girls."

The Wonder Girls formally launched in mid-2007 on MBC's Show! Music Core, performing "Irony", the hip-hop single from their first collection, The Wonder Begins. Groups like myB, M.O.A, Kara, Speed, Rainbow, 2NE1, and 4Minute were also disbanded in 2016.
