2NE1 Were Almost Featured On The Hit Cartoon Network Show 'Steven Universe'

It's been almost three months since 2NE1 had disbanded but still, the tributes just keep on coming and this time, it is by a popular Cartoon Network artist who shared a supposed promo of the hit TV show "Steven Universe" which featured the cartoon versions of CL, Park Bom, Minzy and Dara. In fact, she revealed that the infamous k-pop group was almost featured on the show.

Jane Bak, who is an artist for Cartoon Network and a background artist for the show 'Steven Universe,' had recently shared via Twitter an illustration of Steven Universe with his dad along with the 2NE1 members. On the same post she revealed that this was supposed to be the original promo for episode 11 of the fourth season which would feature South Korea. Sadly though, 2NE1 had to disband and she felt it weird to add them on the episode. However, she did reveal how much she is a fan of the YG Entertainment's flagship girl group.

According to Koreaboo, fans directly tweeted her asking for confirmation if the illustration Jane Bak had shared truly is 2NE1 and to their luck, the artist responded by sharing links of 2NE1's music videos, particularly their most recent and final song, "Goodbye." In fact, Bak had the same sentiments with the Black Jacks who felt really sad about 2NE1's disbandment. Allkpop reports that the latest episode of Steven Universe will include Steven and his dad experiencing Korean culture. Jane Bak did clear things up, however, that the illustration of 2NE1 is non-cannon and was mostly for herself as she is a big fan of the group.

Apart from being a background artist for Steven Universe, Jane Bak is also a talented artist of her own right and has produced several breathtaking illustrations. Don't forget to check her creative and inspiring works of art.
