A source from YG Entertainment confirmed on March 14 that BLACKPINK will now start participating in University festivals for 2017. The agency has also hinted that the girl group is gearing up for a comeback in Spring.

According to Koreaboo, BLACKPINK performing at University festivals will mark the girl group's first publicity activities ever since they debuted last year and their comeback performances as well. This will also be BLACKPINK's first ever performance in an outdoor setting.

YG Entertainment decided to let BLACKPINK perform at University festivals for the purpose of exposing the group in outdoor festivals. The agency also aimed to gather more fans for BLACKPINK, hence the decision.

YG Entertainment's four-member girl group BLACKPINK has come a long way since they debuted in August 2016. People are just drawn with their cute but powerful vocals. Not to mention such beautiful members too!

BLACKPINK has also gathered quite a fanbase that love them ultimately. They have also been considered as one of the most in-demand K-pop girl group in Korea.

BLACKPINK's Thai member, Lisa, just recently went to Thailand for a vacation. Lisa is YG Entertainment's first ever Thai recruit.

It was obvious her countrymen (and women) love her so much since they gathered at the airport before she left. Lisa even mingled with the fans for a short bit before boarding her plane.

BLACKPINK rose in the K-pop music industry with their songs "Playing with Fire", "Whistle", and "BOOMBAYAH" that were massive hits. "BOOMBAYAH" just recently achieved 1 million likes on YouTube making the girl group the first one to attain such breakthrough in just 5 months.

According to Soompi, BLACKPINK is currently gearing up for a comeback in spring. The agency has also stated that they are having the girl group focus on making new music and improving their talents.
