Comedian Yoo Sang Moo's agency Koen Stars has revealed sad news regarding the comedian's health. Apparently, Yoo Sang Moo has acquired colorectal cancer.

According to All Kpop, the news was revealed on April 7 in Koen Stars' statement. Yoo Sang Moo's colorectal cancer is already in its 3^rd stage.

"[Yoo Sang Moo] is scheduled for a surgery on the 10th. He has been quietly engaging in treatment," said Koen Stars in their statement. The agency has also added how they just recently found out of the comedian's state of health.

Yoo Sang Moo immediately reached out to his fans on his Facebook account and said that he became a comedian to give amusement, not to give distress. Yoo Sang Moo apologized to the fans for doing so and promised to be back soon to make them laugh again.

Yoo Sang Moo is currently taking time away for almost a year now. This is due to the "sexual assault" charges thrown at him In May 2016.

Last year, a news outlet has reported that Yoo Sang Moo was being investigated by the police of the Gangnam Police Station. Apparently, the comedian "sexually assaulted" a female in her20s on May 17 at an unnamed hotel in Seoul's Gangnam district.

Yoo Sang Moo was quick to deny the charges. However, according to Soompi, after initially withdrawing her statement, the accuser surfaced again and started throwing the same accusations at the comedian.

Fortunately for the comedian, the charge of sexual assault was dropped on December 8. Yoo Sang Moo was declared not guilty for the said charge as revealed by Koen Stars.

"Regardless of the results of the investigation, I am very sorry about causing everyone concern with this scandal," said Yoo Sang Moo via his agency. "I will take what happened as a life lesson and devote myself to my work with honesty, sincerity, and responsibility."

Yoo Sang Moo is known for his role in the 2008 movie "Frivolous Wife". The comedian also starred in the drama series "Sweden Laundry" and "Korean Ghost Stories".
