Rumors of the singer-songwriter IU undergoing a plastic surgery recently stirred the K-pop community. According to the rumors, IU underwent a "jaw reduction" surgery to make her jaws look perfect. Also, a picture of a "surgeon" and IU together has leaked on the internet.

A journalist from MBC Entertainment's news show "Section TV" then underwent on a fact-finding mission in search of the truth. As reported by Koreaboo, the journalist reported the facts she gathered on the most recent episode of the show.

According to the journalist, she herself went to the same medical clinic IU went to "allegedly" have her jaws reduced. However, it appears that IU only went to the clinic to have a skin treatment - not to undergo jawline reduction surgery.

The journalist also explained that rumors against IU started because of the fact that the clinic is well-known to do jaw reduction surgery. The journalist added that the clinic also offers other services.

So far, there is no statement coming from IU's side. IU's agency also hasn't spoken a word confirming nor denying the rumors regarding their artist.

In other news, IU is expected to be on the 500^th episode of KBS 2TV's "Happy Together". As reported by Soompi, the actor Jo In Sung is also expected to appear on the show's commemorative episode.

IU is expected to be seen in the show as she is a close friend of the "Happy Together" host Park Myung Soo. Similarly, actor Jo In Sung is expected to be on the commemorative episode as he is a dear friend of "Nation's MC" Yoo Jae Suk.
