PENTAGON, Cube Entertainment's rising stars, was in Singapore for their very first showcase. It was a night the fans truly enjoyed, although the stage, unfortunately, lacked the presence of member Yanan, who was unable to join as he was recuperating from an injury.

The show kicked off with the song 'Wake Up' and 'Pentagon', which was then followed by an introduction song. The boys were quick to mention their excitement about coming to Singapore, with E'dawn saying that he loves the chili crab, a Singapore delicacy, and their Singapore fanbase of UNIVERSE.

All the members, however, agreed that Hongseok was the most excited about this showcase. It is known by fans that Hongseok used to live and study in Singapore, where he was a student in Hwa Chong International School. However, it caught everyone by surprise and raised fan's curiosity as he said that Bukit Timah Plaza, a mall in Singapore, was one of his favorite hangout places in the country!

A couple more songs were performed, such as their debut hit 'Gorilla', before the game segment. The members played a merry game with the fans, who if they won, got to walk away with a polaroid shot taken with the member that picked their ticket. However, all selected lucky fans also received a signed album. 

A barrage of songs hit us next, many of which were performed in 'units'. Members Shinwon, Hongseok, Kino, Jinho and Yeoone sent many hearts fluttering as they covered 'What makes you Beautiful' by One Direction, which they prepared specially for the Asian showcase.

During the E'dawn's goodbye speech, Singapore UNIVERSE presented a birthday surprise for him. Banners were raised, and a cake presented on stage by member Wooseok. E'dawn, whose birthday happened two days before the showcase, made fans emotional as he revealed that this was the first celebration he has had since high school. It is even more memorable as he was with his members and UNIVERSE. Member Hongseok said during his own moment, that he was not going to say goodbye, but 'See You Again' as they would be coming back.

However, all good things do indeed come to an end, and sadly, the night did. Before the boys wrapped up the showcase, PENTAGON made sure to further excite and bring the showcase to another high with fan favorites of the song 'You Are' and 'Pretty Pretty'.

It was definitely a star-studded night for Singapore UNIVERSE.
