SHINee's Onew has become a hot topic recently due to the news of him being charged with sexual assault after a night of partying and drinking in Gangnam, Seoul. Now, despite accusations stating he was innocent, his career is taking a huge hit.

Onew was currently cast as the romantic interest of Seungyeon's character in 'Generation of Youth 2' but was forced to step down from his role. Since Onew has been accused of inappropriately touching someone while drunk, viewers reasoned it would throw off the drama completely and demanded he is removed from the show.

Although JTBC, the company in charge of the broadcast, has yet to come forward or confirm the details of his removal, SM Entertainment stepped forward and responded to the matter. "We talked to the staff and decided ultimately that he would be leaving the drama." Fans were shocked to hear this was happening after Onew invested so much into the drama already.
