In late December of 2016, EXID's Solji was diagnosed with an extreme case of hyperthyroidism, a disease involving her thyroid, which caused her to suffer from severe pains and caused an indefinite hiatus from her group activities. Now, almost a year later, Solji updates her worried fans!

A representative from Banana Culture made an announcement on September 14th saying, "Solji plans on participating in the recording for the new album. However, promotional activities require further discussion."  

Now that Solji has plans to reunite with the group after some time spent recovering, fans are expecting EXID to come back as a 5 member girl group again. It was also reported that Solji was recently seen making an appearance at an EXID concert by participating in a track for producer Primary's new album 'Pop'.  

Although this is one big step for the singer, Banana Culture has not confirmed whether or not she will participate in intense future group plans and activities. The agency stated, "EXID are in the process of preparing for a comeback, aiming for the end of October. Nothing has been confirmed."
