MOMOLAND's Yeonwoo to Become a Documentary Narrator

Female idol Yeonwoo of Momoland will be narrating a documentary for the first time!

The record will present the maternal love of a Webfoot octopus, in which the octopus parents sacrifice their lives as they starve themselves in order to hatch the eggs and eventually die. This is their only way to expand their species and avoid getting extinct.

Lee Kyung Bae, Yeonwoo's father, is actually the director of the program. And he got everyone's attention when he revealed that her daughter would be part of the show as the narrator, because according to him, Yeonwoo was moved by the documentary's subject matter and meaning.

Based on reports, Yeonwoo has perfected the narration thanks to her proper pronunciation and emotional communication, plus her clear voice.

She stated, "Even though I was very worried when I first took this role, I then gathered courage as I was inspired by the goal and content of the documentary. I also made efforts in analyzing how to convey the intent of the work effectively, so please look forward to it."

Yeonwoo is currently on temporary hiatus as she is overcoming her panic disorder. MLD Entertainment stated that she has been consistently receiving treatment. Last month, the artist revealed that she is suffering from social anxiety because of the harsh comments she read on social media, causing her to be pulled out from group activities. And due to her condition, she was unable to star in the drama "Mung Bean Chronicles."

On the contrary, Yeonwoo's agency announced last July that she will be starring in an upcoming tvN comedy-drama titled "Pegasus Market," alongside Lee Dong Hwi, Jung Hye Sung, and more. She will be taking the role of Kwon Ji Na, the daughter of Kwon Young Goo, who will be acted by Park Ho San. This show is scheduled to premiere on September 20.

"Pegasus Market" is Yeonwoo's second drama. She had her acting debut in 2018 with MBC drama "Tempted," which premiered on March 12. Here, she played Kwon Yeo Min, the older cousin of Kwon Si Hyun, who is acted by Woo Do Hwan.

Meanwhile, "Pungdo, 720 Days Recording of the Wild" aired on September 2 at 11:05 p.m. KST.
