Fans are saddened by news of Taeyeon's father's passing. On March 9, and also the singer's birthday, her father reportedly died due to acute myocardial infarction.

The SNSD leader was supposed to release her new solo track "Happy" and communicate with her fans through a V Live broadcast, but she delayed all her schedules and headed to mortuary. She is said to be with her family in this time of mourning.

Given that she was supposed to make her comeback and celebrate her birthday, this unfortunate news also made her fans unhappy and worried about her.

Taeyeon's SNS, which has been telling the news of her comeback, has been receiving comments from domestic and foreign fans. There are a lot of comforting comments, such as, "I will always be with Taeyeon," and also, "I hope you will overcome this period with a strong heart." 

SM Entertainment also released an official statement regarding the untimely death of Taeyeon's father, and also expressed their condolences to the singer and her family.

"May he rest in peace. Please send Taeyeon warm words of consolation," the agency said.

SMEnt added that Taeyeon's upcoming song and music video are rescheduled and asked for her fans' understanding.
