Melodys, or fans of BTOB, are celebrating as Son Eunkwang has been discharged from the military today, April 7.
Seo Eunkwang was released as a sergeant after finishing his mandatory military service and as an active member of the Armed forces of South Korea. It was in August 2018 when he enlisted as part of his obligation as a male citizen of his country. Recently, he took a leave of absence on his final year and did not return to prevent the spread of the current health threat, COVID-19 pandemic.

Eunkwang is the first BTOB member to fulfill his military duties. As of the moment, other members of the band are on their official duties. Lee Min-hyuk is a mandatory police officer, while Lee Chang-sub is an active army officer. Sungjae, who is currently busy with his career, had earlier expressed his plans to enlist in the military.

It feels like I'm starting a second life, like being born again. It's a little scary to go back to society after hiatus for two years, but being able to sing to many people gives me happiness.
