Netizens Acknowledge EXO as a "Legendary Group" + Achievements
On May 28, a post on a fan community platform drew great attention after discussing how the K-pop supergroup EXO is considered a legendary group, in which every EXO-L agreed.
The post, titled "EXO IS REALLY LEGENDARY," garnered more than 700 likes and 250 comments, and caught the eye of lots of online users. Like what the title suggests, the post explained a few of many legendary achievements of the group that proved how far ahead they were compared to similar groups who debuted in the same timeline.
The netizen began the thread by pointing out how EXO revived physical albums sales in a dying market. Moreover, ordinary things that you do for your favorite idols like the streaming culture, sold-out official merchandise, and common nicknames like 94s, which is used to represent same-aged friends in your bias group, all started with EXO.
Plus, the post boasted how EXO's Growl album is the only album known by almost everyone, from its title track to all its b-sides and the respective fan chants for each song. This is to mention how the one who made the post commended the talents of each member of the group, from acting to vocals to dancing, and their most recent individual activities to make a name for themselves in the fashion industry by appearing in well-known global brands' fashion week.
Then, they made a proving statement that there's no other idol group with a complete set of classy looking members like EXO.
Surprisingly, the writer who posted the blog is not an EXO fan at all! She then proved it by including a picture of her never liking and sharing or even playing any song by EXO. Such amazing knowledge coming from a non-fan!
The writer also conveyed the most impressive thing about EXO's fandom, EXO-Ls, who talked about how EXO maintain their position at the top of the charts even after quite a number of downfalls. Some sad events may be the elder members going on a break from the group's activities to serve their duties in the military, including Xiumin, D.O, and just recently, their leader Suho.
Also, the writer had massive respect for the EXO-Ls and EXO despite the unfortunate withdrawal of not one but three monumental members of the group due to unpleasant circumstances relating to SM Entertainment, or health concerns, as well as the leak of their own relationships from dating to marriage and pregnancy, and all the various rumors that fuel hate from antis.
This makes the original poster wonder how they still have such strong and loyal fans, and they said, "If it were me, I'd have lost my soul already and left the fandom."

Most of the comments under the post claimed that EXO is part of their youth. One user said that the question asked in school wasn't, "Which idol do you like?" But instead, they will be asked, "Which EXO member do you like?"
The group had such a significant impact that even boys listened to and jammed to Growl. A lot of the kids from this new generation listen to Miracles in December and First Snow as they welcome the New Year and the first snow of the year without any idea about the singers behind the song or the idol industry as a whole.
