Ex-Wonder Girls Hyerim and Yubin Talk About Their Friendship And Hopes For Group Reunion
Hyerim and Yubin talked about their friendship and more!
On June 2, the pair made their appearance on "Choi Hwa Jung's Power Time" by SBS PowerFM. Yubin, who departed from JYP Entertainment and formed her own agency named rrr Entertainment, recently hired Hyerim as her company's first artist.
"In the beginning, I honestly had no intention to pursue it (establishing her own agency). But I figured the setting would be the same if ever I signed for another label. I was wondering that time if 'should I just proceed with it,'" Yubin shared.
She explained, "It was tough initially, but it was wonderful that Hyerim is now with me. I am sure that I understand her well, and maybe another company would give her better treatment, but I provided her with the offer because I wished to make her prosper."
Hyerim added, "I'm so happy to be at an organization that understands me well."
The best sisters went into detail about just how, although promoting jointly, they had not really been close.
Hyerim stated, "When we promoted together, Yubin was not the individual to say that we would do it together in a nice way. First, I wanted to reach her, but we couldn't get close to each other. We didn't have the opportunity to get together when we were promoting. However, when the two of us stayed at JYP, we got really close."
Yubin clarified that she couldn't convey her emotions properly. She also spoke of guidance she had obtained about establishing her company from JYP founder Park Jin Young. She said, "He always stressed to me, 'Reduce your fixed costs.' He mentioned the main significant aspect for a start-up business is the fixed costs."
The very next subject was the forthcoming wedding of Hyerim to the taekwondo athlete Shin Mhin Chul, who she had been dating for seven years.
She stated, "We'll get married on July 5. There are approximately 33 days left. I had no idea things were going to be so messy."
Hyerim said, "I 'm going to go over to JYP once the radio program is already over today, and hand over wedding invitations."
Yubin characterized Hyerim's fiancé as a very nice guy.
One listener sent the question if Yubin will recruit her former co-members to be able to come back as one girl band again, saying, "You once mentioned that you'd wish to recruit all your bandmates, when are we expecting the legendary Girl Band as a full group again?"
Yubin responded, "I believe we can do that eventually. When I see other senior acts having gatherings, I remain hopeful. I think that's very fun.'
Hyerim then told Yubin, "I'd probably perform certain choreography."
Yubin said, "I went to a workshop where I did a crazy fun dance, and I'd forget all that, so I said, 'I'd perform better.' Hyerim and I only recall our own portions and don't know the parts of the other members."
