Recently, female idol So Young of the girl group, FLY WITH ME, who is using a stage name Babi, called out her bullies who continue to mock her name. These individuals, who were said to be Malaysians, kept on ridiculing her stage name, which means in their language as "pig." Thus, it urged her to ask them to stop such rude acts by posting on her SNS.

In the said post that is now deleted, she said, "Malaysians who came here to mock my name have to see this post."

In the following statements, she asked the online users why they kept on shaming her name and having fun ridiculing her name, treating it as laughing stock.

I am not interested in your language. So, it doesn't matter what my name means in your language. And I didn't know your country, but I don't want to know it anymore," she wrote.

"If the same thing happens after you see my post, I will report everyone and block the account. So stop now," Babi added.

In the latter part of her post, Babi thanked her fans who came to her rescue and defended her.

"Babi" refers to a "pig" in Malaysia, and is something that is used to make an offensive remark. Thus, So Young became a huge subject of mockery among malicious commenters from Malaysian online users.

It is not the first time these groups of individuals, belonging in the said Southeast Asian country, have mocked an artist. As a matter of fact, in 2018, Albanian singer and songwriter Dua Lipa experienced the same mockery thrown by some Malaysian netizens. She posted a "Happy Birthday, Babi" on her SNS for her dad. But then, she was poked. Thus, it prompted her to edit the caption to, "Happy birthday, Dad." "Babi" in Albanian means "Dad."

Afterward, Dua Lipa revealed in one of her interviews that she found it actually mean to receive such ridicule as she doesn't know the Malay language.
