The four girl groups who made their comeback during this season are Red Velvet's Irene and Seulgi, BLACKPINK, and GFRIEND, while ITZY is making their return soon.

The two visuals of Red Velvet jumped into the summer queen competition on the 6th, releasing their first mini-album "Monster." The full group has released numerous summer tracks in the past that showcase fresh and lively charms, such as "Ice Cream Cake," "Red Flavor," "Power Up," and " Umpah Umpah." But this time, the unit has drawn attention upon debut due to their strong and charismatic appeals, unlike their previous releases.

"Monster" is a song that combines conceptual lyrics with relaxed and charismatic vocals, along with their unique charms. Since their debut, the title track has also shown off its power as a song, ranking first in the weekly charts. They also proved their popularity by winning first place trophies in various music programs.

BLACKPINK

BLACKPINK (Jisoo, Jenny, Rose, and Lisa) is sweeping the K-pop scene with their pre-released title track "How You Like That," released last June. It has already topped various music charts and continues its all-time box office craze with a record of winning ten music shows.

Amid high-profile domestic and international events, BLACKPINK is scheduled to release their second pre-release song before releasing their first full-length album in September. Earlier, YG Entertainment announced, "BLACKPINK has completed recording more than 10 new songs and finished working on its first full-length album."

Regarding the forthcoming album, the agency explained, "As it is the first full-length album we have prepared for a long time, we hope to provide more opportunities to visit our fans more often than ever with more content and stages by releasing them in three stages."

BLACKPINK is set to release the second song in a special form in July or August, including the pre-release title song released in June, raising expectations.


ITZY

ITZY (Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna) topped various charts with their title track "WANNABE" from their second mini-album "IT'z ME," released in March, setting an all-time comeback record. Music fans' attention was focused on the amazing achievements, following their debut song "DALLA DALLA," as well as "ICY."

ITZY is currently preparing for a new album. A promising fresh and lively charms will soon be available, according to an official from JYP Entertainment. In particular, they are loved for their powerful and unique dance performances and messages with a clear view of their own.

GFriend

GFriend (Sowon, Yeri, Eunha, Yuju, SinB, and Umji) made a comeback to the K-pop scene on July 13 with their mini-album "Song of the Sirens." Through this album, GFriend has made a big splash by showing a 180-degree change from the image it has shown so far.

The title track "Apple" features addictive melodies and the charming voices of the six members. The performance, complemented with the concept of seduction, stands out. They have expressed the witch's appearances through strong makeup and confident choreography that fans have never seen before.

GFriend broke their all-time high by selling more than 67,000 copies in the first week of the album's release, and the music video for "Apple" also showed off the potential of the K-pop girl group as it achieved the highest views.
