K-Pop columnist Jeff Benjamin has just dropped major K-Pop news: another K-Pop girl group will be planning to release a new version of one of their songs with a featured artist. After much digging, fans think that the girl group might be Red Velvet! This comes after news that BLACKPINK will be releasing a new track with a surprise feature.

Though Jeff Benjamin didn't confirm which girl group it was in his tweet, fans got confirmation on Instagram. Designer Kevin Germanier, a Swiss designer, posted a photo of the group to his Instagram, as member Joy was seen wearing one of his dresses during the Dream Concert performance back on July 25. Jeff Benjamin commented under the post, saying that Joy had nailed the outfit.

That's when K-Pop fans Aly (@semmi9181 on Instagram) asked if Red Velvet is the K-Pop girl group that will release a new version of their song in English with a featured artist under Jeff Benjamin's comment! It was not Jeff Benjamin who answered, however. Instead, it was Kevin Germanier who dropped the bomb!

Kevin Germanier has not responded to fans asking how he knows this, and Jeff Benjamin has not confirmed it either. Despite that, ReVeluvs are hopeful that what Kevin Germanier is saying is true!

Jeff Benjamin has also previously announced that a K-Pop act (he did not specify if it was a girl or boy group) would be releasing an English song soon. It would not mean they would be debuting in the West, but it would be a special track for fans. This has led fans to believe it's Red Velvet even more, as the group's 6th anniversary is coming up on August 1. If that is the case, it will be the first time Wendy will sing with the group following her stage accident last December.

Fans have started speculating what song it will be if it were, in fact, Red Velvet. It appears most fans think it will be "Psycho," as it's the latest release they had as a whole group and was wildly successful. Fans are still unsure of who the featured artist could be.

Red Velver was originally a four-member group with Seulgi, Irene, Wendy, and Joy. Yeri would later joined the group in 2015. The group is one of the most popular K-pop groups worldwide as named by Time and Billboard. They are one of South Korea's most talented groups and is also known as one of the idol group's who helped the spread of Hallyu Wave.

Their first sub-unit, composed of Irene and Seulgi, debuted in July with their first single "Monster."
