BTS Will Release an English-Language Song in August
BTS thrilled fans after confirming that they will release an English song!
According to Big Hit Entertainment on the community platform Weverse and BTS's official Twitter account on July 27, "The digital single of BTS will be released on August 21st."
The members said, "For the ARMYs, we will release a single song on August 21st," adding, "We are preparing to release the album in the second half of this year, and we decided to release the single first because we want to launch it to them quickly."
The septet also mentioned, "It's a very difficult time around the world as the Coronavirus 19 continues, and I wanted to give our fans a boost."
In particular, BTS's upcoming track in August is an English song, similar to "Mic Drop" and "Waste It On Me." The Bangtan boys thought it would be better to sing the track in English.
"We needed a new breakthrough in an unexpected situation, and we were able to prepare for the song. It's going to be a fresh attempt and challenge for us," they said. "We felt better and encouraged when we were recording this song. We want to share this feeling with you. We want to enjoy this song with you as soon as possible," they added, further raising the expectations of fans around the world.
BTS made history with their fourth full-length album "MAP OF THE SOUL: 7," released in February. Not only did it rank first on the US Billboard's main album chart "Billboard 200," but it also ranked fourth on the main single chart "Hot 100" with its title track "ON," setting the Korean group's best record.
Also, on the first day of its release, it sold 2.65 million copies and earned the Quadruple Million certification with 4.26 million copies sold on Gaon Chart's 2020 First Half Album Chart.
Earlier, the boys proved their exceptional fame in the international scene after the group was confirmed to be the new brand ambassador for Baskin Robbins. Promotional photos and a 15-second clip have been launched, showing the 7 South Korean heartthrobs. This generated massive attention from their fans all across the globe, seeing the chance to enjoy the septet's presence in a form of a customized BTS cake, along with several merchandise items to collect.
BTS is expected to endorse Baskin Robbins' new ice cream flavor and other products.
In spite of the major halting of activities among the artists globally due to the pandemic, BTS is still active on showcasing their talents through hosting online concerts and performances.
