Dating rumors in K-Pop aren't new. Sometimes, media outlets spot two idols together, which leads their companies to confirm or deny the news. Also, idols at times reveal it themselves.

1. PSY and Girls' Generation's Yoona
In 2012, Chinese tabloids and media outlets started spreading rumors that Girls' Generation's Yoona was having a secret affair with PSY, a married man. The reports claimed that PSY had met Yoona at the party, and the two instantly hit it off. They continued meeting at parties and soon became romantically involved. The reports also claimed that PSY's wife has known about the alleged affair but kept it quiet for the sake of PSY's career and the well-being of their children.
Photos started to spread of Yoona with a man who resembled PSY, which was added to "prove" their "authenticity." The man was a cameraman who was filming Yoona while filming "Running Man."
Yoona herself has spoken up on the rumor during an appearance on "Happy Together 3". She felt that she was sorry for PSY's wife. She said:
"It came up in a Hong Kong newspaper. I felt sorry, especially to unnie (PSY's wife). If it were a scandal, it would have been fine, but it was reported as having an affair with a married man who had a family. It was so out of the blue; I couldn't believe it. While I was filming "Running Man," I walked alongside my cameraman, and we were being photographed. They mistook the cameraman as PSY. I don't think they even look alike, but the article made it out to be him. Had I know PSY's number, I would have texted him about how odd the rumor was."
The singer said she was in Japan when she first heard the rumor and that when she flew back to Korea the next day, reporters were waiting for her at the airport.
Fans to this day find the rumor hilarious and weird because it seemingly came out of the blue.
2. Lee Soo Man and EXO's Lay
This may be the most surprising and most hilarious dating rumor to have come out from the K-Pop universe. Lee Soo Man, the founder of SM Entertainment, was rumored to be dating an artist from his company... EXO's Lay!
No one knows exactly where the rumor started or why it was spread so widely, but fans have speculated that it's because of how much Lay respects Lee Soo Man and how often he speaks highly of him.
Nobody believed the two were dating, though. Instead of getting angry at the rumor, fans made jokes about the story, poking fun at it!
3. SHINee's Minho and TVXQ's Changmin
It was Japanese tabloids who spread this rumor! At TVXQ's Yunho's Michael Jackson tribute performance back in 2010, Changmin was seen sitting and chatting with someone with long hair. Someone had snapped a photo of the two with Minho's face away from the camera, which led people to think Changmin was on a secret date with a long-haired lady!
Fans who knew about Minho's luscious locks, however, found the rumor hilarious! Surprise, surprise, it wasn't a mystery girl, and it wasn't a date. It was just two bros supporting their friend!
