TXT will be singing the new theme song for the Japanese anime "Black Clover"!

"Black Clover" announced the news on July 29, Wednesday. They stated that they will be changing their current theme song to a new one to be sung by TXT. Starting on September 1, TXT's Japanese song "Everlasting Shine" will replace the current theme song and will serve as the anime's new theme song.

"Everlasting Shine" is TXT's first original Japanese song and is one of the three tracks on their upcoming second Japanese single album "Drama." The song itself will be released prior to the theme song switch and will be out on August 19, alongside the extended play. The other songs are Japanese versions of "Can't You See Me?" and "Drama."

TXT debuted in Japan with the song "Magic Hour" back in January 15, 2019. The song debuted at the top of the Oricon Daily Singles Chart. "Magic Hour" had also sold 75,359 copies upon their Japanese debut, according to SoundScan Japan and Billboard Japan. Additionally, they released Japanese versions of their songs "Run Away," "Crown," and "Angel or Devil." "Run Away" topped the real time and daily charts of Line Music.

"Magic Hour" went on to receive an official gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ). A gold certification is given to albums and singles which sales exceed 100,000 copies.

TXT debuted in 2019 under Big Hit Entertainment and are a five-member group: Yeonjun, Soobin, Beomgyu, Taehyun, Huening Kai. Prior to their debut, Big Hit Entertainment founded Bang Si Hyuk had announced plans for a new boy group as early as 2017. A date was given for their debut in 2018.

In January 2019, Big Hit Entertainment uploaded teaser videos of each member to their YouTube channel, which they called "introduction films". The group gained attraction from fans both in the East and the West for being Big Hit Entertainment's first boy group since BTS.

Upon debut, their first extended play debuted at the top of the Gaon Album Chart and Billboard World Charts. Additionally, it entered the US Billboard 200 at number 140, which is the highest-charting debut album by a male K-Pop group. Their debut song, "Crown," topped the World Digital Songs, leading TXT to be included in the Billboard Emerging Artists Chart. They were dubbed as "Monster Rookies" due to their massive populairty despite having just debuted, as well as for their difficult yet synchronized choreographies that are acknowledged by K-Pop fans across the globe.

The group is a commercial success, winning their first ever music show just a week after their debut. Their song "Crown" made it to GQ's Decand-end list titled "The game-changers from a decade of K-Pop" and were included in 2019. The same year as their debut, the boys went on a North America tour. Tickets or said tour were sold out in 24 hours. On Juy 2019, TXT was nomiated for "Best K-Pop" in the MTV Video Music Awards.
