He is also known for his appearances on variety shows and was a cast member on Infinite Challenge from 2015 until he enlisted in 2017. He has appeared in dramas such as 'What Happens to My Family?', 'To The Beautiful You,' 'Standby' (MBC / 2012), and the movie 'Return of the Mafia.' Kang Daniel is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur. He rose to fame after finishing first in the second season of reality competition series Produce 101 and is a former member of the show's derivative boy group Wanna One. As the group promoted for a year and a half, it achieved both critical and commercial success with all four of its albums topping South Korea's Gaon Album Chart and all five of its lead singles ranking in the top three of South Korea's Gaon Digital Chart.

Following the end of Wanna One's activities as a group, Kang took a six-month hiatus from the entertainment industry and took over management of his career.

In mid-2019, he established his agency to manage his future activities. He released his debut extended play (EP), Color on Me, a commercial success that topped the Gaon Album Chart. His subsequent works from his color series titled Cyan and Magenta also topped the Gaon Album Chart with the former's title track earning Kang his first top ten single in Korea.

Kang Daniel held the world record for the shortest amount of time taken to reach a million followers. However, it has now been broken by Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's official Instagram account.

Shinhwa is a South Korean six-member boy band based in Seoul, composed of Eric Mun, Lee Min-woo, Kim Dong-wan, Shin Hye-sung, Jun Jin, and Andy Lee. Launched by SM Entertainment on March 24, 1998, the group signed with Good Entertainment in 2004 before creating their Shinhwa Company to manage their career as a band.

The band struggled initially with their first album before finding commercial success with their sophomore album T.O.P. (April 1999). When their contract with SM Entertainment expired in July 2003, all six members signed with Good Entertainment and assumed creative control with the release of Brand New (August 2004). That same year, members began to pursue individual careers.

After the four year hiatus due to the members' mandatory military service, they returned to making music, establishing the Shinhwa Company to facilitate their group career. The release of their tenth album The Return (2012) made them the first Korean boy band to continue performing after the members' mandatory military services. They hold the world record for being the longest-running boy band in the whole history of K-Pop with a career of over twenty years.
