WJSN's First Sub-Unit Chocome Reveals The Schedule of Teasers and Album Tracklist

On September 22, Tuesday, Starship Entertainment surprised fans by dropping a teaser for a single album titled "Hmph!" by WJSN CHOCOME, on their official social media accounts. This will be WJSN's first-ever official sub-unit.

They first released a teaser image that features the girls' silhouette, leaving the members' identity unknown. The sub-unit name, Chocome, is a Korean phrase that refers to someone or something that is small and adorable. With a yellow background adorned with red, purple, and even more yellow, it is assumed the girls with be going for a cute concept. The single album will be released on October 7.

On September 23, at 8:00 p.m., Starship Entertainment revealed the schedule for the single album.

The schedule image they revealed has a cute and bubbly aura with a fresh yellow background, showing off the group's refreshing concept. With hearts and ribbons found all around the teaser alongside cupcakes, candies, and donuts with sweet cream, the teaser screams loveliness. The name of the single album can be seen at the bottom, "Hmph!", which immediately catches the eyes of the viewers.

According to the schedule, Chocome will release their tracklist on September 24 and release concept photos from September 25 to 27. Then will then release CHOCOME ZZAL from September 29 to October 2. The music video teaser will be released on October 4, the album preview will be released on October 5, and, finally, the album will drop on October 7!

On September 24, Thursday, Starship Entertainment released the tracklist for the single album. There will be two tracks: "Hmph!", which is the title track, and "Ya Ya Ya". The tracklist image once again showcases a cute concept, with a violet background adorned with flowers, candies, ribbons, and donuts.

As the members have yet to be revealed, many fans have speculated who in WJSN will be making their debut in the sub-unit. As this is the group's first-ever sub-unit, people are excited for the girls to reveal their unique music colors with a new concept and image. The girls are working hard to for their sub-unit debut, so watch out for more updates!

Previously, WJSN had a comeback back in June for their eighth mini-album, "Neverland", with the title track "Butterfly". The album is currently their most successful, selling over 100,000 copies in the first two days. It debuted at number 2 on the Gaon Album Chart, while the title track "Butterfly" peaked at number 81 on the Billboard K-pop Hot 100.

The group is currently preparing for their online live concert, "As We Wish", on October 24 at 9 PM KST.

ABOUT WJSN

WJSN, also known as Cosmic Girls, is a girl group that debuted in 2016 under Starship Entertainment. The group first debuted with twelve members: Seola, Xuanyi, Bona, Exy, Soobin, Luda, Dawon, Eunseo, Cheng Xiao, Meiqi, Yeoreum, and Daoyoung. Five months after their debut, Yeonjung was added to the group.

Upon debut, Starship Entertainment announced that the group is composed of four sub-units, Wonder Unit (Cheng Xiao, Bona, and Dayoung), Joy Unit (Xuanyi, Eunseo, and Yeoreum), Sweet Unit (Seola, Exy, and Soobin), and Natural Unit (Meiqi, Luda, and Dawon). In 2018, Starship Entertainment announced another unit called Dream Carrier, composed of Yeoreum, Dayoung, Yeonjung, and Eunseo. Eunseo graduated from the sub-unit later that year.
