RBW Confirms Date for MAMAMOO's November Comeback

RBW has finally announced when in November MAMAMOO will be having their comeback!

Back on September 29, it was reported by TEN Asia that MAMAMOO was gearing for a November comeback. A spokesperson for MAMAMOO's agency confirmed the news to Xsportsnews in a short statement, saying, "MAMAMOO is preparing for a comeback in early November. We will announce the schedule once it is confirmed."

In the initial report made by TEN Asia, the members were said to be working hard as they prepared for their upcoming comeback, and that the group has already selected their title track. The report stated that MAMAOO is expected to show their growth and maturity as a 7-year-old girl group.

Now, on October 7, Wednesday, RBW has confirmed when exactly the group will be making their comeback. In a short statement to numerous media outlets, RBW said:

"MAMAOO will be making their comeback on November 3rd with their new mini-album 'Travel'. This comeback will be the group's first physical album release with all four members for this years. The girls of MAMAMOO have put a lot of effort into this album to show their own style, so please show support for this new album."

It has been approximately a year since MAMAMOO had a comeback. In November 2019, MAMAMOO came back with "Reality in BLACK" with the title track "HIP".

MAMAMOO is a girl group known for their distinct style, performance, and their solid vocal prowess. The group itself is popular and all the members have embarked on solo activities throughout the year, piquing interest in the group's comeback.

MAMAMOO is a four-member girl group under RBW that debuted in 2014. The group is composed of Solar, Moonbyul, Wheein, and Hwasa. When they debuted with the single "Mr. Ambiguous", they were praised as having one of the best debuts of the year. The group first rose to popularity in 2014 with the release of "Piano Man". The song peaked at number 41 on the Gaon Digital Chart. With this release, MAMAMOO ranked 10th highest in the list of idol girl groups for digital sales, 19th in album sales, and 11th in the overall sales according to Gaon's year-end ranking charts. The girls saw continued success in 2015 with "Um Oh Ah Yeh". The song peaked at number three on the Gaon Chart, making it the group's first top-three single.

MAMAMOO saw breakthrough success in 2016 with "You're the Best". Upon the song's debut, it charted at number three on the Gaon Chart but later peaked at number one the following week, making it the group's first number-one single. "You're the Best" earned the group their first music show win on Inkigayo, and they received a total of eight wins for the song.

In 2017, MAMAMOO released "Yes I Am", which peaked at number one on the MelOn real-time chart. At the time, MAMAMOO set the record for the highest number of unique listeners in the first 24 hours of its release with "Yes I AM" for a girl group. The extended lay it came from, "Purple", ranked first on the Billboard's World Album Charts.

Their 2018 release "Egotistic" caused their popularity to rise in the West. Upon the first week of its release, the extended play it came from, "Red Sun", debuted at number four on the Billboard World Albums chart. The EP peaked at number three on the Gaon Album Chart. With "Red Sun", MAMAMOO made their first-ever appeared on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums Chart.

Each of the members has debuted as a soloist. Wheein debuted as a soloist first in April 2018 with "Easy". Moonbyul debuted as a soloist in May 2018 with "Selfish (feat. SEULGI)". Hwasa debuted as a soloist in February 2019 with "TWIT". Last but not the least, Solar debuted as a soloist in April 2020 with "Spit it Out".
