J-Hope’s EGO Recreated As Pop Art By ‘Vigilante’
BTS J-Hope's solo song 'Outro: Ego' on their album 'Map Of The Soul:7' has been recreated as pop art. According to fans of BTS (ARMYs) on the 21st of October 2020, Argentine pop artist Alejandro Vigilante unveiled a pop artwork titled 'EGO' on his Twitter account on the 18th of October 2020.
The work is divided into a mosaic pattern, and a silhouette reminiscent of J-Hope's appearance in the music video 'Outro: Ego' is revealed. Here, various colors from light to dark harmonize to create a gorgeous scene, drawing an increasing amount of attention from fans of the artist himself and ARMYs all around the world, including South Korea.
Vigilante revealed his fan spirit by uploading the hashtag (#HopeWorldTo3Years #EgoTo1Year #JHOPE #J-Hope) fans are using to celebrate the feat. He is an American artist from Argentina, known as 'Michelangelo of Miami,' and has worked as a mural artist for quite a while, gaining recognition for his unique style and sense of color and harmony.
After the 9/11 incident in 2001, he founded the 'i-art movement,' which uses SNS and the Internet as a platform for art communication. BTS' J-Hope's song belongs in the genre of energetic pop-rap, and the lyrics contain the message that expresses J-Hope as he 'confronts the inner shadows that have been hidden so far and resolve to acknowledge this as a part of himself.'
'Outro: Ego' records more than 44 million streams on Spotify, the world's largest music platform, and the music video has exceeded 78 million views and 5.24 million likes. It recently topped the iTunes charts in Israel and Palestine, ranking at the top in 70 countries.
