EXO Kai Appeared on Aespa's MV? + SME Releases Timeline of Idol's Solo Debut
Fans and netizens are discussing if SM Entertainment teased EXO Kai's solo debut through Aespa's MV.
On Tuesday, Nov. 17, SM Entertainment's new girl group, Aespa, finally dropped their bop track, "Black Mamba" and its MV, which became the fastest debuting girl group to reach 10 Million views on YouTube. Along with their powerful entry into the K-pop scene, fans and K-pop enthusiasts discussed the unique way of SM Entertainment, spoiling and teasing the viewers with their artists' upcoming solo debut and comeback.
According to some fans, EXO Kai allegedly made an appearance in the rookie group's music video as the water's cryptic man. Also, in the same video, BoA appeared before the video ended, piquing fans and viewers' curiosity.
Fans are giving applause to SM Entertainment for its witty way of giving hints to upcoming schedules of its artists, just like how they do with Aespa's debut, hinting their release through SuperM's "One (Monster & Inifinity)" and NCT U's "Make A Wish" MV.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, EXO Kai's solo debut countdown finally started. To fans' surprise, the photo containing the timeline of his schedule resembles the mysterious guy who appeared in the "Black Mamba" MV!
The scheduled poster was released on Kai's official website and EXO's account, which contains the timeline of schedules related to Kai's first solo album, 'KAI,' raising music fans' expectations.
According to the agency, from Nov. 19, various contents such as a teaser image containing the atmosphere of the album, a mood sampler video, and a music video teaser will be released sequentially. It is expected that you will get a hot response as you can meet Kai's charming appearance, who is set to transform into a solo singer.
This album will be released on various music sites, such as Flo, Melon, Genie, iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, QQ Music, and more, with a total of six tracks.
EXO-Ls (fandom of EXO) has great anticipation for his solo debut after eight years since his debut as part of the global K-pop group, EXO. This time, it is Kai's era, which is expected to be unusual and original.
During these past years, the male idol has established his own image and name, especially in dancing. Aside from being SM Entertainment's representative dancer, along with TVXQ Yunho, SHINee's Taemin, BoA, Red Velvet Seulgi, etc., Kai is also named by various professional dancers, choreographers as one of the best dancers in the K-pop industry. '开,' the album name, is a simplified Chinese character that means "open," and its Chinese pronunciation is "kai."
